At ROWE, our core values include safety, quality, people, service, and growth. We are seeking a System Support Technician to join our proactive team of ethical, talented, passionate professionals and leaders at our Flint, MI office.

POSITION SUMMARY

ROWE is currently looking for a System Support Specialist to join our IT department. This position is a full-time position based out of our Flint, MI office. Monday through Friday schedule with Fridays being work from home days. Key responsibilities include providing technical support to end users by diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware, software, and issues in a way that is easy for non-technical users to understand. Installs, maintains, and supports computer hardware and software systems on desktops, laptops, and mobile devices while providing technical assistance and training to users. Works closely with the IT department to maintain IT operations and requirements for end users. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Performs routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal system performance and security.
• Documents technical issues, resolutions, and procedures.
• Escalates complex issues to senior IT personnel when necessary.
• May travel to remote offices as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

We are seeking a forward-thinking, safety-conscious, and energetic individual who is excited to work in the IT profession. Qualifications include:

• Associate’s degree in CIS or IT or equivalent program from a college or technical school; or two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A+ certification, or Network+ certification, or Microsoft certification preferred.
• Individual should have knowledge of Microsoft software, Office, Windows, O365/M365, and/or Active Directory or Entra. As well as a comprehensive understanding of computer hardware components, design, and installation, and a familiarity with general networking technologies, IP, DHCP/DNS, and Wi-Fi configuration. It would also be helpful to understand CAD, GIS, and design programs.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
