What You'll Do

As a Staff Software Engineer at Curbee, you won't just write code—you'll drive the future of automotive service. 

• Lead with Ownership : Take charge of core platform features, owning critical components of our roadmap from ideation to delivery.
• Innovate Boldly : Architect, design, and implement scalable, reliable solutions that make life easier for dealers and customers alike.
• Stay Curious : Dive into customer needs and work across teams to ensure seamless integration with Dealer Management Systems (DMS) and other third-party tools.
• Be a Culture Add : Bring fun, energy, and collaboration to the table. Mentor teammates, champion best practices, and inspire innovation within the engineering team.
• Go Full Stack : Lean into our serverless infrastructure with TypeScript, Node.js, and React, solving complex problems and building solutions that scale.
• Know Our Customer : Travel (~10%) to meet customers, gain firsthand insights into their challenges to help build solutions that truly address their needs.

Your Superpowers

• Technical Expertise : 8+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering, with deep knowledge of JavaScript (TypeScript, Node.js, React).
• Customer-Focused Thinking : You understand and anticipate user needs, advocating for solutions that make a difference.
• System Builder : Experience designing scalable systems in serverless environments (AWS, Google Cloud preferred).
• Full-Stack Proficiency : You know the front-end, back-end, APIs, and data modeling inside and out.
• Mentorship Mindset : Proven ability to guide junior engineers and foster a high-performing engineering culture.
• Problem-Solving Guru : Analytical, adaptable, and always ready to tackle the next challenge.

Bonus Points for

• Experience in the automotive industry integrating with dealer tools or dealer management systems (DMS).
• Familiarity with Agile development, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
• Expertise on Zoom, Slack, Jira, Google-Suite but still happy to take a regular old phone call
• Being based in Dallas, LA, the Bay Area, or willing to relocate.
