Gantry Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, a startup practice led by Dr. Jared Miller, is looking for enthusiastic surgical assistants to join our founding team! Opening in January 2025, our brand-new, state-of-the-art practice is being built to foster exceptional teamwork and deliver outstanding patient care from the very beginning.

Our office is located on 50th Avenue at Vernon Boulevard, just two blocks from the scenic Manhattan-facing waterfront. Plus, getting here couldn’t be easier—we’re right at the corner of the (7) train, with the (G), (E), and (M) lines just a short walk away.

As a clinical assistant in oral & maxillofacial surgery, you’ll be entrusted with:

• Greeting and escorting patients throughout the office, making them feel relaxed and cared for
• Acquiring the necessary imaging (panoramic/CBCT, intraoral, and photography)
• Assisting the doctor during surgical procedures under both local and general anesthesia
• Supporting and caring for patients during the pre-op and post-op periods
• Keeping our instruments, equipment, and environment spotless and surgery-ready
• Coordinating with front office staff to ensure smooth scheduling and patient flow

What we’re looking for:

• An upbeat personality with solid interpersonal and communication skills
• At least one year of experience as an assistant, with familiarity and comfort with oral surgery procedures
• Someone who keeps their cool under pressure, always anticipating the next move, and with a knack for staying organized
• Punctual and professional, with a genuine passion for patient care
• Current BLS certification (or willing to get certified upon hire)
• Bonus: DAANCE certified and/or experience with Sensei Cloud practice management software

Compensation:

• Starting at $28/hour with opportunities for advancement with additional experience and certifications

This is a part-time position. As we get up and running, flexibility with hours is preferred, but for now, our initial schedule is 8:30 AM - 5 PM on:

• Mondays
• Wednesdays (alternating weeks)
• Thursdays
• Saturdays (alternating weeks)
