The Success Map Initiative in Cohoes, NY is looking for one delivery driver to join our team. We are located on 81 Mohawk Street. Our ideal candidate needs to be a team player, responsible & reliable.

Job Title: Driver/Delivery Driver

Employment Type: Part-Time, Per Diem

Reports To: Operations Manager

Job Summary

The Driver/Delivery Driver is responsible for operating box trucks and cargo vans to transport goods and provide driver staffing services for various organizations. This role involves delivering prepared food, picking up and delivering donated perishable food items, and occasionally offering valet or driver-for-hire services. Drivers will primarily operate vehicles owned and branded by partner organizations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate box trucks and cargo vans for deliveries and transportation services.
• Transport prepared food in refrigerated cargo vans.
• Pick up and deliver perishable, frozen, deli, and produce items from supermarkets and deliver to the Regional Food Bank and local food pantries.
• Provide valet or driver-for-hire services, operating personal vehicles when required.
• Conduct vehicle maintenance checks and report any issues.
• Communicate effectively with managers, team members, and partner organizations’ employees and leadership.
• Complete minor reporting during each service.
• Utilize a smartphone to access emails and workflow-related applications.
• Provide excellent customer service while representing The Success Map Initiative & partner organizations

Qualifications & Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to back vehicles into loading docks safely.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Capable of getting in and out of the cabin and cargo bay of a box truck and cargo van.
• Comfortable driving for extended periods and working in various weather conditions.
• Familiarity with navigation apps and smartphone-based work applications
• Able to work on weekends 
• Must have reliable transportation to & from work
